What is Lightning Dragon?
Lightning Dragon is a flash MMO using Smartfox Server, as a successor to DragonThunder. It is run by Magnesium Beta Game Studios. Smartfox Server is a robust, highly efficient, reliable virtual world server (a.k.a it costs a fortune). This thread is about the awesome game, with the latest updates and such!

When is coming out?
The release date is still unreleased--a game needs time if it wants to be as epic as Lightning Dragon! But, we are looking for beta-testers---ya know, the people that take a perfectly awesome game and finds bugs tongue .

How do I become a beta tester?
Just ask! Then, Magnesium Beta will determine whether we accept your application, and if we do, we'll notify you with the details wink

Okay, but what can I do in the meantime?
Well, we're maintaining a bunch of fun things to do related to Lightning Dragon (see Contests below)

Since it's called Lightning Dragon, maybe there should be some sort of weather minigame? Maybe you would have to survive different disasters to get more points.

And please have it be something that's far from CP. I really would appreciate PvP other than choosing cards.

I'll *probably* accept you 3 as testers, but, Nomolos specifically, I have no way of getting you the link (anything like Skype, Hamachi, or disposable e-mail probably works)

Those in beta, we had an issue with our asset server a couple of days ago where no background would show up and you couldnt move your character.

This issue has been resolved, and if you encounter any errors or bugs, PLEASE alert me or bobbybee so we can fix it. Thank you smile

I will test.
A minigame could be a flying minigame where you control a lightning dragon and meteors are being thrown towards you, and if you dodge them a lot, you can use a super-attack. There is one boss.

The artwork has been completely vectorized! Yay! However, there will be few updates to the game until I have mini-games done.

Great news:

We are aiming for an open beta in the summer. Release date is still TbA.

There are a lot of major changes, so testers need to be finding those bugs smile
