Chapter #15. "We've Got Company"
Sami smiled at the monster, who wasn't really all that monstrous at all. In fact, it was incredibly gentle for a tall, emaciated entity with no facial features except a horrible hidden mouth. She giggled. “Thank you so very much for saving me. I would have died if it wasn’t for you, sir.”
The beast let out a small, happy moan. It was rather pleased with itself. Its mouth twisted into a little proud smirk. Sami, noticing the tiny grin, smiled right back. “Thank you, Mr… Mr…” Now that she thought about it, the odd thing didn’t have a name at all. She tried her hardest to think of a suitable title for it.
“…Mr… Mr. Slender…man?”
It seemed rather pleased at this label, moaning again and nodding its head. Sami was glad it liked its new name. “Mr. Slender Man. Got it. Thank you, Mr. Slender Man!”
Once Sami finished thanking “Mr. Slender Man”, she said her goodbyes and headed towards her home. After all that work, she was going to have a break, and nothing would stand in her way.
Nothing except the horrible figure that suddenly leaped out and tackled her to the ground.

Chapter #16. "Peekaboo"
Sami fell to the ground in shock. Something had tackled her to the ground. “That’s twice today” she thought. She hoped it wasn’t Barnabas again. Luckily, it wasn’t the horrible vampire pulling another sneak-attack. In fact, it was someone she admired deeply.
Her beloved friend, The Rake.
The Rake stood on her chest, panting like a dog. His long black tongue dangled above her face and he smiled down at her. “Hello, Miss Sami!” he said in his scratchy voice. “I was wandering about, and then I saw YOU!”
Sami chuckled. He was an eccentric little thing. “Well, it’s nice to see you, too. However, you gave me quite the scare, buddy.” Hearing this, Rake lowered his head in shame. He seemed to scare everyone, and he had no clue why. “Sorry, Miss Sami. I meant no harm…”
Sami patted his head. “There there. Just try not to do it again, ok?” she asked, trying to comfort him. He nodded.
“I’ll try, Miss Sami. I’ll try.”
