Well, my explanation of the z axis was sped up, so not entirely correct, but the idea was there.  Back on topic.  I'm getting the fire starter.

I had an epiphany earlier.

When the names of the versions were revealed, everyone associated them with chromosomes. This was supported by the DNA strand in the Japanese logo. Xerneas represents the X chromosome, which is female, and is a chital, a land creature. Yvetal represents the Y chromosome, which is male, and is a wyvern, a sky creature. What's female and earth-based form mythology? Gaia. What's male and sky-based from mythology? Uranus. This could lead to the conclusion that the Z creature will be sea based and will probably be similar to Pontus.

Interesting theory and reliable as well but I've never heard of Pontus. Did you mean Poseidon???
Also, I didn't know yoUranus was a sky based Greek/Roman god, LOL
but I have never heard Uranus mentioned in myths yet, hmm maybe I should look for a story with him in it.

Please get back on topic, adding news, updates, what kind of Pokemon you hope to appear in Gen 6, and pretty much anything else about it (besides theories please, I've had enough of the xx xy ideas though agscratcher's theory was the most interesting.)

Re: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, Mass Info Topic

Practically everyone thinks X and Y refer to the Cartesian coordinate system, so the next version would be Z (X, Y, and Z are the three coordinates in 3D, and this is the first 3D Pokemon game). A few others (like me at first) thought it refers to the chromosomes; therefore, the next versions would be XX (female) and XY (male). But this explaination seems to be correct. I seriously doubt the third version would be Z, because everyone thinks that. I think Game Freak had all of these things in mind when the made the names. They aren't simply running out of ideas.

My theory is that it's a combination of a three theories. So will the Z pokemon go side to side?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were real.

Also what if the weird buildings in the desert screenshot are the laboratory of the evil team and are related to Xerneas if the whole xyz planes theory is true? What if the XYZ dimensions thing AND the genetics theme are true? Maybe there's a plot about the dimensions being related to genetics?  yikes   yikes   yikes

I wouldn't be surprised. Pokemon is pretty predictable.
Though sometimes, they can throw you for a loop.
Black 2 and White 2 for example.

Yeah...

...Just remember guys there can be multiple themes used together so don't just argue that it's either this or that. Could be both for all we know. But seriously using dimensions to modify genes or vice versa would be aweeessoooommmmeeee  yikes

Wouldn't it be awesome if they added a special theme for night encounters or shiny encounters? It would be cool if it was slightly a different key then the original theme, so it would sound a little bit different and wouldn't seem much like a remix of sorts.

If you don't know what I mean, take this for example:
http://www.scratch.mit.edu/ext/youtube/?v=KKxNwiEARZQ
That's an example of what it could sound like if it was implemented into Black/White.
