I was walking out to the bus one beautiful autumm day. The sun was shining, the wind blowng just enough so it was comfortable, and I wished I could go barefoot.
I was thinking about my little creek, and had been hoping I would be able to check it, but I hadn't been able. As soon as I turned my head, something or someone walked up a five foot bank as easily as I walked down the driveway. She- it was obvious- walked a few steps out of the woods, then looked straight in my eyes. It was eerily comforting, but I stood there terrified. She was at least 10 feet tall, bigger than any bear I'd ever heard of. She looked at me for a moment, then turned around and walked back in as easily as she had come out. I stood there for a moment, then ran to the bus.
I didn't go back in the woods for months. I was THAT terrified. I love the woods and everything about it!
I now know that Bigfoots are friendly. If they weren't friendly, I wouldn't be here right now.
This story freaks me out so much!

Two questions (please don't take any offensive by them, but I'm sure you can understand if I'm sceptical):
1) How old were you at the time?
2) Are you sure it was 10 feet? Because that would be freakishly tall. You're ceiling is probably only 9 feet high.
Also, other than the size, would you mind describing what exactly it looked like?

They're very elusive. We just found a lot of species in very populated areas. And they live in the WOODS.I mean, it's not so hard to hide there.
How do you believe in the insects? Have you seen them? How do you believe in 120 year old people? Have you seen them? How do you believe in alibino people? Have you seen them?

Yes, so elusive a child saw one very clearly less than 100 feet away.

Yeah, and you find wolves in not very populated areas, in woods, but they have been seen millions of times.
"How do you believe in the insects? Have you seen them? How do you believe in 120 year old people? Have you seen them? How do you believe in alibino people? Have you seen them?"
Because there's no reason to suggest they don't exist? If you search up bigfoot you are bound to get a lot of skepticism and fake photos, but if you searched up woodlouse you aren't going to get people talking about how they don't exist.

Well, that made me want to cry.
Many people have gotten much more closer to them, and yes, even peed on by them. Really.
I guess you're right about the insects, but I disagree with you about the wolves. Wolves used to have a very dense population about a hundred or so years ago. And that's why we know so much about them.
Random side note: If I heard someone had killed a Bigfoot, I would cry. Who knows what their numbers are? Who knows if they're endangered, or even close to extinct? This actually has nothing to do with you, just a random thought.

Well I'm happy I was mistaken. And I never mix dreams in with reality. I didn't even know what a Bigfoot was back then!
Talking about dreams and Bigfoot, I once dreamed I married a Bigfoot. It was really weird.

I found this quote from yahoo answers, it's quite long but I think it's an interesting read:
" [Reasons why Bigfoot probably doesn't exist]
1. No 'Bigfoot' has ever been killed or captured and properly examined at an officially recognised museum or university. Until that happens, it's reasonable to assume that all sightings are either intentionally faked or are misidentifications of other creatures.
2. No skeletal remains which might be a 'Bigfoot' have been recovered and submitted to an officially recognised museum or university for analysis. Vague claims about bones in the woods are hardly reliable evidence.
3. There is no reliable photograph of a 'Bigfoot' and - in an age where everyone and his brother have digital cameras and Photoshop - it's much too easy to fake one. Even some of the old photos, and the famous cine-camera footage, are a bit dubious. People who try to convince us that a blurry lump filmed from 500m away at twilight is actually 'Bigfoot' aren't really helping their case.
4. None of the alleged 'Bigfoot' hair and droppings have produced reliable DNA suggesting what they are. This may be due to contamination by the people bringing them in, but saying 'It's because Bigfoot is so closely related to humans' is a bit of a cop-out.
5. No one has ever run down a 'Bigfoot' in their car, van or truck. Given the quantity of squashed wildlife which litters the roads, and the ever increasing amount of traffic, it does seem a bit odd that no-one has flattened one of these creatures.
6.The increasing human population in areas where 'Bigfoots' might live should - logically - have resulted in more sighting and greater contact with people as we encroach on their territory, but I'm not aware that this has happened, as you might expect with wolves, bears, deer, etc.
7. No-one has - to my knowledge - explained where 'Bigfoot' fits into the eco-system of the area where it lives or, for that matter, found out what it eats.
8. It's such an easy thing to fake - a furry suit and a video-camera are all you need - that there must be a great temptation among people of a certain mentality to try it."

Well, I know from personal experience how well a young mind's imagination can mess with real memories. I certainly don't think you're lying at all, but I do think you probably didn't actually see quite what you remember seeing, due to your young mind subconsciously exaggerating it to a degree.
Also, as it turns out, Kodiak bears can actually be over 10 feet when they're standing up.
And if you don't mind me asking, how old are you now?

Very interesting post. On the subject of 8, the famous, iconic video of Bigfoot walking through a stream was actually a man in a suit (admitted by the people who did it), though I think some people still believe that it's authentic...

They were probably overwhelmed ny the haters, just like me. Or yu're making that up. They are my heros. If they really did fake it, I might ... well, I can't say it here.
Maybe they even thought of this same phrase: When you ask Life for a hug, Life throws you into a freeway and lets a rabid demon out of it's cage.

You seem to be so convinced that Bigfoot exists that you are manufacturing convoluted + unlikely explanations for things.
See Occam's Razor. If something requires many explanations to be believable, it usually isn't.
The reason so many people don't believe in Bigfoot is because it is staggeringly more likely that Bigfoot does not exist.

That first one is a snapshot from the video I just mentioned. It's a fake.Try making that with 60's technology. It's impossible.
60's technology didn't include costumes?

It eats all the same dstuff coyotes and raccoons eat. If anything ate it, I would be very surprised. It remains elusive because it's extremly smart. This is not your average animal. This animal is smarter than people. I meant try making a costume like that with 60's stuff
