1.2 to 1.3?

Recently, I have started looking at old projects and seeing how or if I could improve them. But all of them are in 1.2, and when I try to view them in 1.3, they start messing up. Any way I can fix it?

What kind of "messing up" are you seeing?  Could you be more specific?

Sure. When I do, the text on everything (the blocks, the screen, even the text on the paint program) disappears, making it almost impossible to correct any mistakes in the program. It will only show itself again if I close out the program and restart it again (which can be a pain). Any suggestions would again, be appreciated.

Re: 1.2 to 1.3?

The different fonts are causing a lot of problems.
What I do when tthat happens is I press Save As, and just name it the same thing, but add [1.3] to the end. From there you'll need the actual 1.2.1 or just the IMAGE file (get from here), and open the original project in the 1.2.1 image. From there, it gets more complicated: you'll have to take screenshots of the fonts. You can press the PrntScrn button (or whatever it's called) if you have a PC or cmd+shift+4 if you have a mac. Then import that into your 1.3 project and that's it.
I hope that makes sense...

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Do you have a 1.2 project online that you expect would cause problems?  I would like to see this problem for myself.  I've heard a couple of people talking about it but I haven't seen it yet.

I'm not sure if the Scratch Team is working on a solution or not.

Now this is weird. I experienced the problem about five times on Saturday, and when I tried all of my projects again today, they all automatically switched to the default font for Scratch 1.3, Helvetica Bold! I'm not sure what happened but I hope it is fixed now. Thanks!

I have a similar problem, onlyits the other way around. When I download,it wont load up.Instead,it says something I can't remember but its about a mismatch. And I know its beetween versions. Its too bad because new members download new ones, when there's a project thats really good,I can't download and they dont seem to work when looking a the projects online.

Well I've never had this problem, but was the project in 1.1, 1.2, or 1.2.1? It might make a difference.

Re: 1.2 to 1.3?

I think the next Scratch version should put all the old fonts back in, while still keeping system fonts.

i get that problem too, like another user said (and is probably right),the font plays a part in it.

Re: 1.2 to 1.3?

Yeah, same here. I opened a project with a TON of font, and it was all messed up. Look here (It's a PSP 2 beta, BTW) - http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/8830/psp2jd7.png

Please fix this!

Re: 1.2 to 1.3?

Some of the Scratch fonts are also not my system fonts - so they won't change back.
