I'm making a Guitar Hero game but I don't have many good ideas for songs, so I need some ideas. (the only thing I know is I'll have a Dragonforce song, but I'll try to find something besides Through the Fire and Flames, just because it's been used enough already.) And, as usual, try to use songs that don't have noticeable (or any) swears, if possible.

If there's any more ideas, I'm getting ready to program it soon, so if anyone has more try to get them by tomorrow.

PS. Some of those suggestions I got I can't use because the file is too big, even when compressed. I'll make more versions of the game, so some songs will have to go on those because I found some good ones that I might want to use.

Anything over 7 mins seems to be really big. One of them was 20MB alone, and even though I managed to cut it down to 4MB, but that barely leaves room for the rest of the songs and scripts. If I'm going to include every song, there's going to have to be a lot of different versions.

EDIT: while I was writing that, you added the big list. And if I used all of those, expect to see Guitar hero 12. I'll definitely be able to use some of those, though.

As of this post, I think there's enough (actually, more than enough) ideas. I'm getting the setlist ready, so unless anyone has any last ideas, the suggestions are now [temporarily] closed.
I've found I can only get about 5 songs even on the lowest compression stetting (it makes the sound quality awful, too) so there will be some more versions coming soon, definitely. (if you didn't get any of yours in, I can assure you at least one of yours will be in the next one.

lol, I've had the setlist planned since I posted on november 4 tongue They all come from people's suggestions... except the final song, which I decided to put in myself... but I promise there will be more versions of the game out. And also, I'm not releasing any of the setlist yet, I want to have it more planned out first.

I know this is taking a long time to make, but I'm making other projects along the way which I get caught up in making, but I've been working on the guitar hero game in small bits along with them. I'll post an announcement for it when it's close to being finished. But it won't be soon... expect it around january/february/march 2009. But now I want to make it my main project. Also, sorry about being so secretive in this post, but I promise you won't be disappointed with the final game.

bon jovi songs dont swear. metallica swears in some songs (you can tell by the song names) but the best ones are master of puppets, smoke on the water, and enter sandman. also, tobymac and POD are good rockers and rappers who don't swear. hope that helps. smile
