With such an explanatory title as that, you should know what the discussion is about. What is a song that you actually like that was released the year that you born?
Off the top of my head, I would say In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel. There are probably others, but that's the first thing that came to mind.

So you were born in 1998. You had Mezzanine by Massive Attack, one of my all-time favorite albums. I got:
-Relationship of Command by At the Drive-In
-Kid A by Radiohead
-Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antenas to Heaven by Godspeed You! Black Emperor
-The Moon & Antarctica by Modest Mouse
-Deltron 3030 by Deltron 3030
-Final Fantasy IX OST by Noubo Uematsu (I assume this doesn't count, but still)
veggieman's lucky, as he was born in the same year as my favorite Godspeed album as well as favorite album ever, OK Computer.

If I recall, I think "Sweet Victory" was originally recorded in the 80's during the hair metal days, and I believe it was later incorporated in Spongebob.
I don't know for sure, though, I may be wrong.

I looked at the Wikipedia page for it and there was a Godspeed You! Black Emperor album or something but I didn't see much else I recognized

Ugh I was going to add If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian, but by looking it up on other sources I saw that it wasn't released in '98 but rather '96 :U

Daft Punk's album 'Discovery' was released on the year I was born - anyone think of any good electronic music released in 2000?
Offline
Before I was born? Good music started after I was born, everyone knows that. Just kidding. xD

Can't exactly think of any songs off the top of my head so I guess I'll just steal soup's list. :P
