What are you supposed to report? Foul language, offtopics or placed in wrong sections?
anything, even if its not inappropriate, that needs the moderators attention should be reported.
title changes, closure of topics, what you listed, things that don't follow the community guidelines, etc

Wow, it's great to have so many knowledgeable and helpful forum members - you folks have pretty much covered it. Just to summarize:
1. Anything that is contrary to the Community Guidelines
2. Anything that goes contrary to the Forum Guidelines (see stickied topics in forum sections)
3. Anything that might need moderator attention, such as off-topic, topic rename, duplicate topic and so on.

Kayybee's got it! We have a reports page on the moderator side of Scratch that we all check regularly. The report button should be used for anything that requires a mod's attention, people in the German forums sometimes use it to message me directly about a German forum going-on or problem so it's not just bad stuff to report
EDIT: Looks like Paddle2See beat me to posting, which I suppose merely highlights my point that we all check the reports a lot

Everyone else here pretty much covered it, but I'd like to emphasize one thing that Sparks touched on: When you report something, it's not necessarily a bad thing. Don't be afraid to report a post that needs our attention - you're not automatically getting the poster "in trouble" for something by doing so.

He's asking what deserves reporting, though.

you can report for all those things, and if you made the topic you can report so that it may be renamed

Report anything that goes against the Community Guidelines.
So, anything inappropriate, off-topic, or old irrelevant topics that has a necropost on it.

Spamming, topics placed in wrong sections of course, blockspam. Sometimes, you can also report your topics by asking the Scratch Team to change the title or close the topic.

The asker's question was already answered multiple times several months ago.
I do not think there is a need to answer the question yet again.

What is wrong with that?

Yeah, I think that's a common misconception about the Report button and perhaps a problem with the wording. I can't think of a better word though...
"Help from a mod"? Or "Get our attention"? Or are those too long?

Well, if the question was answered sufficiently before, there isn't a need to necropost to answer it.
