Yeah, I agree with you. But, whenever I see a bad project on the front page, it is usually flagged in seconds.

True, but other bad things can happen: notably, the thumbnail might not be updated on time and certain the information can stay on the front page until the front page cache clears (which might take a while).

And if people favorited it then the thumbnail might not get updated...
