A crazy mix of drum and bass and classical music!

I use Fl Studio 8 XXL. I don't know whether it is worth it to get Fl Studio 10 or not. I'd like to know, why do so many people here use Fl Studio while the most popular software is Logic or Pro Tools?
As for hardware, I use an ASUS laptop and Audio Technica ATH-M30 headphones.

Honestly Ableton is really really good
They're about to go up in price though with the new version

Guys I dunno what to do.
I wanna release my new album on Soundcloud but it'll take up all my upload time, so I don't know how I could release it.

Fl Studio 10 is a wonderful software at an affordable price. I actually have the 10 demo, but FL studio 10 is a great program, and a lot cheaper than most. Why would you not upgrade? Fl Studio supposedly has lifetime free upgrades.

Make a new account? Delete unfinished tracks and anything that isn't an official release? Check out BandCamp or ReverbNation?
Dunno why Necro said LMMS, but I use that too and it's a good free DAW, but it could be so much better. It's not as intuitive as, say, FL Studio, and the sound has lagged a bit for me while only playing a bunch of samples. You get what you pay for, I suppose.
I now use Ubuntu Studio for all my audio purposes (maybe I should shut up about it already), as I finally managed to get various Windows DAWs and VSTs running in Wine with wineasio.
I'd start actually working in something (other than forking out tracks for Frozen Coco), but school started and I got so little time. >.>

Just use Bandcamp. I personally find it much better for managing things like albums.

I do use Bandcamp but I don't get much publicity on it. I've already uploaded two full EPs to Soundcloud.
However, I could delete all my remixes and mixes. That would give me some more minutes.

FL Studio has free updates if you bought it.
I think that 10 is great but I guess it's up to you. I currently use the 10.9 demo and it has some cool new plugins. Pro Tools is better for recording live instruments imo and Logic is for Mac and many of us are low-end laptop producers anyways

I use bandcamp for like officially released albums and soundcloud for like demos or singles

I see that's why I haven't been able to get the finished version of your work on our collab.

Not true. Although my laptop was a little more costly than I would prefer, I needed something portable, yet powerful. My laptop does all of that. Unfortunately its battery is not big enough, but I always have a power source in the house, and while travelling. Back to the point of this topic: music. What is everyone's opinion on a good synth? Fl Studio has Sytrus, but I find it lacking most types presets that I need, and I cannot ever seem to create good ones by messing with settings. Is Helix a good one? I can try the demo, and the samples on their website sound good, but is it worth the download time? (My internet is super slow)

Hey, beginner's mistake:

Me 2 (it's free, so I'm happy). My friend has FL Studio Producer Edition and it's cool. Have you made anything awesome? I've quit trying every time, but I'm taking a music production class next year so that will be cool.

Toxic Biohazard can make some sweet stuff if you have some time, and sylenth1 is great for electro house.
Many producers use NI Massive but it has a pretty steep learning curve

I use Harmor and I once tried Toxic Biohazard's presets.
You know, for this mystery album of mine that is coming in July.

Awesome. I use a Rock Band microphone.
That's why I never upload any spoken word projects.
