How do I make a reporter without making it have the checkbox?

I was messing around for a while in the Source Code, and found out that if I made a reporter block that reports what's inputted into it, it has the checkbox like on the variable reporters. I would like to know how to stop this from happening, because it doesn't look exactly 'right'.

Scratch-Blocks -> CommandBlockMorph -> --all-- -> canBecomeWatcher
