My first Ludum Dare (And back after a loooooong hiatus!)

You know what, I give up.
Every time I say that I'm coming back, I end up leaving within the month (Life, it gets in the way). So no promises on this time.

(Insert inconspicuous border here)

Hey guys! I am entering my first Ludum Dare event this weekend! I am in no way very experienced, so it will be a jam that I'm entering. I will be programming in Java, using GIMP for graphics and the official tool for sound effects. My only goal for this time is to get a game finished within the benevolent (But still meager) 72 hours I am given. Please read my blog posts here. I will also be making a time-lapse, and hopefully that will be on youtube soon after the end sf the competition.

Please wish me luck  smile

Re: My first Ludum Dare (And back after a loooooong hiatus!)

Hey I remember you c:

I've always been interested in game jams such as Ludum Dare and the MLP game jam that was held some months ago, but I'm too lazy to actually learn game programming, lol. That, plus the schoolwork I got right now = No time for programming. :c

Well, I wish you the best of luck in the event  big_smile

Yeah, it's been some time since the days of the TBG!

And I can completely sympathize with your schoolwork problem. Taking all AP and Honors classes can get hectic at times, but just stick through it and you'll be rewarded with a better chance at scholarships, or something like that.

Anyway, good to meet and greet with you again after such a long time! Brohoof? /)

I actually remember you on this very forum - stopped being a TBG guy since it was moved to a separate forum. Unless you meant the times when the TBGs were part of this forum.  tongue

More academic opportunities are always good - here in Chile you can't really take many extra courses as the education system is much more linear. And mediocre.  hmm

Lol you're one too? That's great c: /)*(\

I was talking about before it was moved. I never could bother to visit it afterwards.

I ended up throwing in the towel, and giving up. I just have too little experience to feasibly finish this thing in what time I have left.
