Using Uninstalled Fonts

Is there a way of using fonts that are not installed on your computer in scratch?

Re: Using Uninstalled Fonts

No. You won't be able to modify any text that used that font.

No. If a font is not installed, how is scratch supposed to use it?

If you could use fonts without installing them, what'd be the point of installing fonts in the first place?

Hi GRA0007,

If you mean using fonts found in other Scratch projects, then no. If the Scratch software encounters a font that is not found on your computer, the font will automatically convert the text to a default font (usually Helvetica) when edited.

There are several fonts that word might have ignored, or taken as a different name.

Such as "Casual" which is also known as "Apple Casual".

I found this font in Scratch as "Apple Casual" but I couldn't find it in Pages. Eventually I found it as "Casual". But I don't think that font is exclusive to Scratch.
