Hi everyone, I've just discovered Scratch while looking for resources for teaching my kids programming - seems like a great way to start them off.
I've uploaded my first efforts - the results of a few hours playing with the library sprites. It's probably the most common first project - cat, dog and mice, but at least it's a game with scoring, increasing difficulty, and farts
Gripe: It's a real shame that the flash player doesn't keep some variables persistent - e.g. high score.
Question: When coding, Is there a way (on a mac) to pick up only the module your clicking on, rather than grabbing the whole stack beneath it as well? maybe a key to press, or an option somewhere?
cheers

First off, I would like to welcome you to scratch!
2nd I will check out your project later today when I'm on a computer. I'm on my IPhone 5 right now.
Edit!: about the persistent variables for all time high scores, in Scratch 2.0 we will get cloud variables.

Welcome to Scratch!
For persistent variables, there will be cloud data in Scratch 2.0 (expected sometime next year) but for now just use the project notes and get people to comment their high scores.
