Scratch

I may be curator in the upcoming weeks, there's a chance I may make the slot on Monday! But first, I need projects to put there! If you didn't know, a Curator is a person who selects projects to go on the front page and serves a two-week term. So, here are my requirements.

In order to submit your project to me, it must-

- Work well online. This is a pretty simple requirement because your project will be viewed in the flash player about 90% of the time.

- Your project should not be a remix of another users. However, you can submit a project that has been remixed from one of your projects, or from one of the Sample Projects. The sample projects are free for everyone to use.

- Contain Original media. You should not use Sprites, Sounds or Costumes that are not made by you unless the creator has provided that they are free for you to use, otherwise known as Public Domain. What are some examples of Public Domain? The sprites, sounds and costumes in the Scratch Media folder are free to use. Please refrain from using user-uploaded sprite packs, because most of the time the media they contain are ripped from a video game or google. I will make exceptions though if most of it is done on your own!

- Have Quality graphics. I'm pretty picky when it comes to graphics. I like smooth, yet simple designs but I will also go for complex things if they're visually appealing. Some tips- Try not to overdue the fill-bucket or pencil tool. Add shading and basic gradients.  I'm also a big fan of neon colours with neuturals. (Example- bright green and black, hot pink and white) But whatever colours go best!

- Educational! I like to learn new things! If your project teaches something, I'll definitely consider it! Education doesn't mean it has to be all about school, math and science though- It could be how to draw, the best way to take care of your pet, or even reading music!

Regarding- Pen Projects, Platformer Games and Other Common Themes;
Please try and submit a project that is as original as possible! I want to see something new, and be inspired! Try and have a plot and a new twist on gameplay. If it's a pen project, add new options and brush styles! Try and steer clear of rainbow fractals too- It's a bit overused. (Anyone else tired of 'Don't Touch Red?' I mean, come on, red is my favorite color, I love red!    )

- Please do not submit a project that has over 20 views per week, 5 love-its per week or by a user who has been frontpaged in the last three months, excluding Newest and Scratch Design Studio. Projects should be more than a week old by Friday, December 7th.

SUBMIT A FRIENDS PROJECT TOO! I think it's a lot better to suggest someone else's project rather than your own, but I will still consider self-suggestions!

Your projects must also follow all of the Scratch Community Guidelines.
