I'm telling you. The only reason Spongebob doesn't get cancelled is because Nickelodeon's gonna die when it ends. There's no other good shows for it to fall back on!

Some of them are still good. Take "Planktons Pet" for an example. All the jokes were great, excellent plot, great animation, no mean-spirited overtones or plot devices. It felt like aS3 episode with better animation.

Yeah; in one of the newer episodes they actually pulled off a gag that made me laugh.
A series of events caused a large Krabby Patty costume to fly up into the air.
Plankton walked outside and took a deep breath, then said: "It feels like there's something in the air. Yes, today's the day I finally get a Krabby Patty!"
And then the giant fake patty fell out of the air and landed on him. lol
