I know this might not seem like much of a problem, but when you get alot of messages it may be more important. When I look at messages on the list thing, you can delete them, but you can't delete them while your looking at them. It gets really confusing as to which messages I've read, and which I havn't. Also I am really bothered by the fact that so many people save up messages. It makes scratch slower, which is REALLY bothersome. So, when you take screenshots you look cool. Wow. Big whoop. Oh man bye, sorry for going on a rant DX

What I do is I have my messages open in one tab and then open the projects and stuff in new tabs and delete the message after opening the tab.
Ditto. That clears up any confusion I have.

Every now and then, I got on a huge message-delete spree

But what if you want to go back and read them? I keep the "______ has added you to his or her friend's list" notifications so I know who's friended me.
Then you're slowing down the server...
You can google this instead:

if you want to know who friended you, that's why there is a friend list.

well, I think it's probably ok to keep 1 or 2 messages. But saving up messages just slows down the server, even if you will eventually delete them

An easy solution to that is to not let your messages pile up, and read them as you get them.

It's extremely frowned upon, because it slows down the server for everybody.

I just click on the first message and once I have replied or freinded or whatever, I delete it, move on to the next message, and so on. I definetly don't save up messages.
