Its Japanese release date is November 8 2012
Its US release date is May 1st 2013
Its European release date is 'Spring 2013'

Being a big animal crossing fan myself, I plan to keep all of you updated on this game!

Overview:
In this game you are the mayor!
You and your eager secretary, Shizue are walking in Tortimer's footsteps! He has handed down the town to you. You shall work at the town hall with the help of Shizue to move in villagers and manage the town.

New Features:
-There are some changes, because this take place years after city folk or wild world: Tom Nook has handed his shop down to Tommy and Timmy, and instead has become a real estate agent! At his real estate place you can customize walls, roofs, windows and doors of the exterior of your house. Kicks runs his own shop, Shoe Shank, where you can buy shoes! K.K. Slider is a DJ at Club K.K, also where Dr. Shrunk will now perform.
-There are many cool features of being mayor: You can choose what animals move in. There will be a forest where the animals who are homeless camp out. Around the town you can build bridges, benches, wells, signposts and streetlamps. You can schedule the opening and closing times of shops.
-There is a new shop, called R. Parkers, run by two married Alpacas, Kaizo and Lisa. You can buy customizable furniture and sell items for 20% higher here.
-There are more types of fruit: lemons, bananas, mangoes, persimmons and durians.
-Villagers are more interactive with the environment. They will shake trees, plant flowers, and even buy from shops.
-There are new bugs including Bear Cicada, Redback Spider, Tiger Beetle, and Wharf Roach.
-New plants such as Bamboo
-There are new fish including Whale Shark, Giant Trevally, Oarfish and Sawshark.
-The island is brought back where you will find rare flowers, fruits, insects and fish. It is run by Kapp'n's mother, Geko. Kapp'n's two sisters also work there, Kuko and Kuku.
-There are two new species of villager: Hamsters and Deer.
-To get to other's towns, you must go to the Dream Mansion, run by Yumemi. She will let you go to other towns via 'Dream Walking'.
-There is swimming and diving. Diving can allow you to get coral, starfish, sea urchins, clams, oysters, crabs and lobsters.
-Fortune cookies!!!!!!!
