A place to discuss the book by Neil Gaiman and the film adaption.I fell in love with the book and the movie, I'd never seen a movie which is so engrossing, with such plot, characters and atmosphere...

I watched the movie, it was a bit creepy, but not as scary as the graphic novel they published. I cannot look at La-la-la loopsies the same anymore o_0

I personally find the movie more creepy. If there was one that looked even vaguely like me, I would sue. Or something. Possibly just challenge to a game of Urban Terror. @everyone: I have consumed the book, movie and comic. I love it partly because of the great everything and partly NEIL GAMIN. He is one of my 1st place authors. (The other two being Douglas Adams and Terry Prachett) His episode of Dr Who is my favorite. Until his next one, it stays that way. (Judging from other works.)

I haven't read the book, but I've read some other Neil Gaiman works.

The movie was crazy creepy, but I still love it to death. I remember seeing it in 3D when it first came out. So awesome.

and isn't the "His episode of Dr Who was my favorite. Until his next one, it stays that way." really like 'i want to like this guy's stuff because i've liked him before n stuff'
if you just left at it 'his episode of doctor who was my favourite' bla blah blah it would've been find but the 'until his next one...' made it sound really stubborn
also it sounds as if you already have a new favourite episode of doctor who from the past tense
so yeah

Wow, that's awesome! I loved the homemade, homely feel to the overall movie, maybe the real sweaters were to blame. lol

Wow, that's awesome! I loved the homemade, homely feel to the overall movie, maybe the real sweaters were to blame.

Yeah, it also had some really cool sets. The cherry blossom trees were actually made of popcorn.

I don't know why there are so many CoralinexWybie fanfictions. No one seems to realise that he was just added into the movie so they wouldn't have this girl going around talking to herself.

And another thing, I'm sad that they left the 'Other Father in the basement' sequence out of the movie, I liked that bit.

The part where *SPOILER ALERT* Coraline goes into the cellar looking for one of the ghost children's souls and finds the Other Father, grossly deformed. He attacks her and she grabs one of the Other Father's button eyes. She escapes the basement.

It wasn't a deleted scene, it was never filmed. I meant that I was sad that they left the sequence I was talking about out of the book.
