Any other games where the intent is to kill. (I mean games that look realistic). And yet, everybody wonders why there is so much youth violence.
That's not disturbing. Kids aren't phased at all by it. And the main problem of youth violence is parents not telling their kids whats good and whats bad.

Actually, an Atari cowboy game called something like Tucky's Revenge.
Correct the name if you know what I'm talking about.
Thou shalt not speak of Tucky's Revenge.

I'd say the most disturbing video game I have ever played is the old 90s game Earthbound for the SNES. The reason I think it's the most disturbing game is because first of all, in one part of the game, you have to go through "Mu Training" and allow a spirit of your ancestors to rip off your legs, arms, ears, poke out your eyes, and then finally take your mind away!!! Second of all, you have to go inside a hole, crawl or walk through RAW SEWAGE infested with giant roaches, mice, and ghosts, and then fight a "Cute widdle" Plague Rat of Doom. Lastly, at the end of the game you have to go into a cave FILLED with intestines and fight a being known as Giygas that looks like a FETUS when he is severely wounded! That's why I think Earthbound is the most disturbing game ever.

You're crazy. Kids aren't violent because they play these games. Kids are violent because their instinct (not because of what they do in the game, but because of being kids and playing a "mature" game) is to punch/scream at things they don't like.
On that note, if a disturbing moment counts, mother-effing lavender town.

Maybe not, but are you familiar with desensitization? I still don't blame it on the game, but definitely the parents.

LSD: Dream Emulator is one of the most disturbing games that isn't meant to be horror.

World of Goo is disturbing? I guess there are a couple parts, but for the most part I'd say Little Inferno is much worse.
I love Little Inferno a lot, but it really is one of the most disturbing games I've played. I mean, you're a kid who spends his whole life burning things in a fireplace.
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The two most disturbing parts are when Sugar Plumps' house burns down, (you can hear screaming and explosions, and after words you hear that she is dead) and at the end when you get the final combo (it's always unnerving when technology in games massively malfunctions, but the glowing of the head and everything breaking down and exploding is just eerie, even though it is my favorite scene in the game).
*END SPOILER*

That's not exactly how desensitization works. Desensitization, (in this case) is when someone is constantly exposed to something violent, and over time they become more used to it and have less of reaction. The problem that most people bring up is that kids would not be as worried as to seeing blood or violence, and might even think it is "cool".
Though this really isn't as common as people make it out to be, I personally am not affected by this. There are kids at my school though, who think guns and violence are "awesome".
