It annoys me, and I think that while improvements for elite/veteran/trusted make sense, /tpa should still be used for them.
Personally I don't support this idea. Maybe we should have a rule that someone has to say you can tp to them before you ACTUALLY tp to them.
actually my idea i just said was really complicated.

In short words: /tpa.
/tpa sends a request for teleporting, like /tp but you send a request so they can choose whether they want to tp or not.

/tp means veterans and above - this is trusted people who are on the server for more than 2 months - can act as a mini moderator and dramatically decrease the amount of griefing etc on the server. If this wasn't allowed, there'd be a lot more griefing.

I think I'll keep /tp for Veterans, but, in non urgent cases (when they don't need to be there immediately) I'd like them to ask the person who they are tp'ing to if they are allowed. I moved the permission to tp other players to each other or to you up to Elite though.
@zub I'm revising the requirements to those ranks to include site registration, play time, and a few other things; I'm still looking for a good plugin that displays the time that the user has played (not in afk). So for now, no promotions 'til that's done.

Can everyone stop [removed - please use language appropriate for all ages] about me being a spy in TF2? If your so mad ask them to remove the option. I'm sick of being kicked from the server for no reason just because the moderator rages and abuses their powers.

Twig, I saw on chat, you were told quite a few times not to use that class, as it's over powered. It wasn't a moderator who kicked you, it was iggy, and as far as I saw Cool and Jamie weren't really raging, or abusing their powers. I've asked Zeus if we can remove that class (he set it all up), and if it's ok, then yeah, we won't have it anymore.

But spy looks funest. Also, could I get promoted on the last day of this month because I first came on on the 31st of December.

Was the criteria for Trusted reevaluated to be 'until we [the Tikicraft admins] consider you [Average Joes] to be more than 'Average Joes'?

That'll be part of it (if you are untrustworthy then we won't promote you etc.), but that happened before too. For Trusted, you will have had to have played on the server for more than 8 hours, for Veteran, 20 hours, and for Elite, 50 hours (might change the time a little). You will also have to be registered on our website, and have a certain post count for Veteran and Elite. These requirements aren't set in stone yet, they are liable to change.

Have to be? How many hours have I been on? Do posts on here count? (I don't want to sign up for a site just to become a higher rank.)

So will I still become a Elite in two months? Or does it only count in hours now?

Hello I don't know if I can really do this but I'll give it a shot. Below is my Mod App. I understand if you don't accept me due to the Spy post and the comments within it, and also because some players were recently made Mod. However please read this.
I'm going to go completely honest with this. (The template I use was one that I think should fir the bill).
What is your age?
I am currently 13 years of age, turning 14 this October.
How long have you played Minecraft?
I have played since Beta, I'm not sure what version however my account was paid for
on the 17/05/2011
How long have you played on TikiCraft?
I have currently played on the server for 2 months.
Have you ever held a staff position before?
Yes I have. however that was on a friends server, so it's irrelevant in a way.
Have you been banned from another server?
Yes I have this was due to the fact that it was on a pvp faction server. The server was
derping horribly and people could glitch their way through claimed land and open locked chests. I got quite angry and so decided not to play on the server again after
having criticized it. I was banned after that.
Why do I want this position?
I want this for not only a personal desire for even more fun but to help the people of
Tiki. This position would enable me to help players more directly with grief and questions, because I don't really stand out, in chat anyways. I believe that I have the
potential to improve the server and help make it an even funner place.
Reasons as to why I should become a Moderator.
I know that being a Moderator is a huge responsibility, and I believe that I have required potential to take it on well. During the time that I am on, there are usually no Mods or Admins online. This leaves the server vulnerable to spammers, griefers and people who just don't respect the rules.
Also when either a Mod or Admin are online, they are usually too busy answering questions. This can be very frustrating for the Staff and sometimes the Players. If I were to become a Moderator, I know for definite that I would be able to loosen the burden and make TikiCraft a more enjoyable server to play on. (Not trying to say that the severs bad)
You may find this a little sad, however when I was in Primary School, I always made my own clubs. I had membership cards and everything. I created a forum for my friends to use within the club and we all communicated using that. This took a lot of time and effort to maintain especially to manage.
Having experienced this, I believe that I would be able to handle this role effectively. I like to think of myself as patient and kind. This skill would allow me to answer questions with a calm and mature fashion, for example: “Yes twigmen?” Instead of “what do you want twigmen?” I just find it a little more player friendly.
I am a very active player, both on the forums and on the server. I believe that I have a suitable level of maturity that would help me in become a moderator.
I have lots of experience with Players. I know the majority of Bukkit commands and the default server commands I’m also in a different time zone so I would be able to stop these players causing havoc. I feel confident to tackle people who are racist (One of my pet hates) I do not stand for Racism it is wrong and in general is Cyber Bullying. I welcome newcomers to the server by shouting Welcome! And I try to assist them in every way that I can. In some cases the player requests how to get to spawn, if there is a server shop, how to get money. I tell them the necessary info and the commands that they need to perform.
I also remind the newcomers to make an account on the forums so that they are able to enjoy the server at its highest; this also allows the players to check out the latest news and gossip. etc. After I have helped these players they usually make a comment like “Thanks man”
I am enjoying my time on TikiCraft; the only limitation is school and the electricity bill. Even if I am not granted Moderator status I shall continue helping other players and assisting the server in any way that I can.
Another point that I would like to add is that due to the amount of players joining recently, they have a lot questions , I think that I am very capable and mature to take up this position and help in any way that I can. Because I'm in a different timezone I am on at different times when other staff members may not be on. So I could assist them in any way that I can. Going back to my tolerance theme I like to have a personal 3 strike rule. I warn the player, then kick them, then give a them a final warning and report them to and Admin. The players whom I give my final strike rarely disobey it.
So I hope I have inspired you to look upon me. It was a pleasure writing this
See you in game!

Most likely you'll have to I'm afraid, for Veteran and above. It's not much, only a simple sign up.
@Nancy It'll include both, you'll have to have played for 4 months and have a certain play time.
@Twig Nice application, although moderator apps aren't open right now. The next mod elections will be in a few months time.

Could you please define 'more than an Average Joe'? What if we just don't know the admins personally?

I just mean that if you are not trustworthy, but you've still been active on the server, you won't get promoted.

In short, people randomly tp'ing to me is annoying - especially if they're in MobDisguise/DisguiseCraft, which is also pretty unreasonable.
