Scratch

So, apparently, Flash doesn't support a midi synthesizer, so the Scratch team is trying to write their own, but the sounds as of now are few and, quite frankly, not very good. Once I found out about the upcoming audio editor, though, a solution occurred to me...


...what if, instead of a GM set, we were to implement a sampler? It could be infinitely expandable to the users' desires, as there are a no doubt good number of free instrument and drum samples on sites like Freesound, not to mention all the potential repurposed household sounds. Musique Concrete design studio, anyone? 

Does anyone else think this would be a good solution?
