i made a great rpg, but i may wanna be able to make it muiltiplayer, but that means for me that more making, but i have to make servers max capacity should be at least 10,because you have to do (ask USERNAME]if not users contains [answer] add [answer] to user then change people in server 1 by 1, forever if people in server 1>9, repeat until people in server 1<10-broadcast server 1 unavalible

Make a block with name Previous Costume and in the block insert this script
switch to costume (costume - 1).
Blocks are like broadcast function when u open a block into editor u see the block name in start which is like when i recieve.

I am confused. How does B.Y.O.B work? And can I upload it to Scratch?
BYOB works just like any other version of scratch, however it has more features. Since it is not an official scratch release, rather created by Jens, projects made in it unfortunately do not work online.

You cant upload your BYOB programs to scratch because the online player isn't configured to work with the Byob files.

Here's a weird bug; somehow, when I replaced an if with an if else in a boolean block, it reported "nil" instead of true or false. Any idea why?
![]()
I heard of null, but not nil!
The are the same thing.

Guys, i dont want to spam, but iv just done something, using byob 2.0, i took MathWhizz's Text-based Scratch http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MathWizz/915927 and made all the blocks into Byob blocks, saving space, and also its makes it faster, yet because i only used the Atmoic setting on the compiler part, its not jumpy, its like it was before, except its quicker to start.

If this got un-stickied because of System Browser editing, I protest - to make your own blocks by editing the browser, you need to be able to program in Squeak. A lot of us can't do that. And BYOB was designed for building your own blocks - which makes it easier to make your own blocks there than by editing the browser.

But... but... BYOB is one of the IMPORTANT AWESOME topics, isn't it?
I'd rather have BYOB stickied than my Mesh guide.

Yay, it's stickied again!
(And I lost the chance to get my guide stickied.

Thay would be extremely hard for a new user. I don't know how to do that and i am a python blackbelt and have been doing scratch since the day it came out.

For that, i'd use Hamachi, but if your using a comercial server you'd have to pay for it. And a spare computer (Possibaly, im not sure) But it should be possible.
@Midnightleopard
Why would a new user want to be making a multiplayer game? New users dont have to bother with stuff like that.

Doesn't "BYOB" stand for "Bring Your Own Beer"? Other than that, I am blown away! I'm supposed to be writing a Scratch presentation for school, but instead I think I'll spend the rest of the day playing with this

Hello,
I am a beginner at BYOB as i have not built a block yet, I would like a tutorial showing how to make a Bounce block that would go into the blue section. For example
[blocks]<if><touching color[ red ] <bounce>[/blocks]
Any help will be appreciated!
