The new app is not yet iPad optimized, so I'd be willing to bet yes. I use two YouTube apps. One is the official app, and the other is one that allows me to save videos for offline viewing. Each has its own benefits.

I think they should combine.

Two new iPad Mini ads! This one (I've taken the liberty of linking to Youtube repeat for you) has been added to my "top 5 Apple ads"...it's classy, cool and simple. I love it.

I was surprised by the iPod general commercial (included touch, nano, and shuffle), it was loud and colorful, personally I prefer the subtle simplicity of their other commercials. (But not the arrogance of the "from here to here" ads)

I didn't like either of them.
I saw both when they first came out on YouTube.

I was too. But it didn't take me long to figure out that Apple has taken the iPod Touch in a different direction: teens. Teens were already the Touch's #1 buyer but Apple was trying to promote the Touch to a wider audience before. They finally decided to only market it to younger people. So, they added fun colors, added the word "fun" on their of Touch page a million times and then came out with the "Bounce" ad which showed nothing about the iPod Touch's features but was fun and exciting, just what teens want.

Meh. First off, the iPod Touch has an extremely limited market, or so it would seem. From a practical standpoint nearly nobody needs an iPod touch. It isn't much smaller than an iPhone (the nano and shuffle are a different enough form factor to justify having seperately), has only LESS features than an iPhone (older processor, lower quality camera, no 3G), and nearly every teen in America (I may be the only exception) has a smartphone that works just as well at playing music and apps. Maybe that's the reason for some of my discrimination against it. I'd say the iPod Touch is only really practical for a child too young to trust with a full-power smartphone.

Numbers say otherwise. It's handy for those who don't have a phone yet.

Just saying, based on Pew research center data from 2010, 75% of teens (ages 12-17) own cell phones, probably higher now after 3 years. If that key demographic isnt in the equation, it is hard to see the iPod Touch as a particularly necessary product. Either that, or people are stupid and use both phones and MP3 players. (Why, just why?)

Many people are stupid. I'm not questioning the need for it, I'm saying that it's simply a common item for teens.
