That's a pretty awful reason. iPad mini is to compete with the Kindle fire and Nexus 7, iPad 4 is a typical processor refresh along with a port update. And of course the event was planned to have excitement for the holiday buying season. IMO Apple products are beautiful, but OS X isn't as useful as Windows or Linux. Unfortunately Windows 8 would look absolutely AWFUL on a Mac.

Well, Apple is both good and bad in my standards.
I hate windows, I can't seem to do anything right without it completely slowing down, and Mac does what I tell it to do, so that's good in one spot.
I am typing this on my Mac laptop from 2008 that I got a few months ago (my old one was from 2006, this one was only $200, and in pretty awesome condition), while looking at my ipod touch 3rd generation, which is still good and running (considering I got it 2-3 years ago).

But what does bug me is that my iPod is 2-3 years old, and it already can't handle any of the new software updates. I'm running iOS 5.1.1 and according to my iPod, that's up to date.
Apple is really good at making great products, but keeping them with the latest software and upgrades, Apple sucks at. They are better at keeping it with the MacBooks, since this computer is older than my iPod and has the latest updates, especially since this pop up keeps coming up asking me to update.

I'ven't messed with any other smartphones, so I can't judge the iPod/iPhone that much.

Another thing I hate about Apple:

The Home button is messed up. I have to click it hard, and about 6-8 times to get it to work. They should really fix that.

Also, everything is SO FRAGILE. I have not met a person who has not dropped/cracked their iPhone and has had it for over a year.

Plus they exadrate.

Android is so bad... I can't even talk about Android...

Apple is the best phone company out their by far.

Some of the really old iPod touches and iPad 1 did face some home screen problems, but all the gens after that have worked great. Besides, Apple is moving to a no home screen system anyways.

I don't find any of my Apple products "SO FRAGILE", in fact, the iPhone 5 was rated really well in durability against the Samsung Galaxy 3 on an Android site.
