I could really have a use for drawing onto costume!

If there were blocks
< draw on screen >
and
< draw on costume [ drop down list ] >

I could see much use for it... the first being the default and the mode how it is done all time now, but after switching to the second one, all pen commands for the sprite would be done on the costume instead of on the screen... this way a sprite can draw its costumes by pen dynamically whenever it feels that it wants to change it (or even only during its initialization).

This project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/deerel/290619 is so slow because there's lot of drawing the same things again... if I could predraw it into the costume and then only let the sprite simply be there with that costume on... wow, that would be nice!
