I love scary stories. A lot. Even if they scare me, and I can't sleep, I think it's fun to be scared c: Anyway, there's a contest to decorate a pumpkin at our local pumpkin patch, and I wanted to draw a story-telling picture.
The drawing part? Easy. The story-telling part? Not easy.
So in the pitfall of lack of inspiration, I looked online for Halloween legends, and the only one I could find is Bloody Mary, and that story is really overused OTL
And so I ended up here cx Any old camp stories or scary story concepts you made up yourself? It can be anything really, but I prefer the kind that aren't modern, ones that seem like scary fairytales, and it should be directly related to Halloween. No creepypasta, please.
Thank you!
(Note: This wasn't made to copy the User-Made Scary Stories topic. It's supposed to be Halloween story concepts for inspiration .v.)

I made a Halloween Scary Story in the Scary Stories Topic, if you want to check it out.

There's always Cinderella, birds pecking eyes out and chopping off toes.
Or Hansel and Gretel, baking people at 350.
Or Red Riding Hood, cutting open bellies to retrieve devoured ancestry.

^ "directly related to Halloween"
there's that jack o lantern one where that guy sold his soul to the devil and now he has a turnip/pumpkin (depending on the version) instead of a head

I think it's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and he most traditionally ends up without any head?
