Hi there
We want to be able to use Scratch for creating an interactive multimedia product for Unit 4 of the OCR National in ICT Level 2 as it is so much more interesting than Powerpoint...
I ran the project I had designed through with the examiner yesterday - we can't get a pass grade unless you can hyperlink from Scratch to an external website. Broadcasts don't count as they are instructions that only work inside the game itself.
The other problem is 'Animation'. Changing costumes for a sprite so it changes as it moves does not hit the pass grade. We need to be able to import a ready-made animation (made in any other programme by the students or somebody else) into the game they are making in order to get the grade.
Does anybody know if this is possible? If it isn't we will have to go back to Powerpoint...Yawn!
Many thanks,

I'm afraid hyperlinks won't work inside Scratch because of the abuse it might bring. If you really need a hyperlink, you can modify Scratch to open up the web browser to go there, but it won't work online. Here is a tutorial on exactly how to do that.
For animations, you can drag and drop a .gif into the costumes area of a sprite or you can import it.
