For more classes, visit the official post for the School of Scratch
Welcome! This is the Intermediate Design course for the School of Scratch! This is a topic where you can learn how to create art and animate!
The goals for this class are as follows:
1. Learn and become prolific in the Scratch Paint program or with any art program you feel comfortable.
2. Master the art of separate costumes and sprites for animation.
3. Learn how to put all of this together in a great animation!
I also have basic guidelines:
You MUST be active! I cannot stress this enough; UNEXCUSED absenses for at least two weeks will result in warnings. Nothing slows down a class worse than a classmate being inactive.
A basic unit course will follow. Once I get a classmate, I will begin.

I'm just doing my project for this but is there any good programs that you could recommend to me?

If you would like to, you could use the Scratch paint program and upload it into a Scratch program, especially if you don't have another program.
If you have it, I would reccomend GIMP, though.

Pretty nice!
You used a wide variety of colors...but the main theme stayed in the "cool" color range. Would ou consider yourself an artist?

Perhaps - I enjoy art at school and a good artist. I prefer sketching and drawing things on paper. Could I upload some drawings and make animations and projects? I think it would be quite cool. But I would also like to learn how to do art on computer as well

There is one thing I learned...it is that, unfortunately, paper drawings never animation online. But I would be very interested in seeing your single drawings uploaded online!

Okay, great! And if you would like to, you can download GIMP, if you have permission and all.

First, you should see if you want to download GIMP. It is alot handier and has many more colors and tools than the Scratch Paint program.

Click download, and then (after you wait a few minutes) click "Save".
Then you can find the program by searching GIMP in your program search.

I tried that but when I saved it, afterwards I couldn't access it for some reason. I will try again later...
