So, it seems everybody took a break for the holidays. When do we start working again?

Whenever you want to start working again. I get back in school tomorrow, and I have a lot of homework to do, so I can't work today. If you or anyone else wants to start working, we really need levels! The powerups aren't as important as that.

Well, I can't work today either. I'm on a tablet right now and I'll be out for the rest of the day. For me, school starts a little later, so I could work on the levels, but I might want somebody else to help me come up with the levels, because I am BAD at coming up with level ideas.

Ok, I guess I'll help with levels.

OK. The early levels should be easy enough though, I'll tell you when I need ideas.

I think we will have to make different sprites for the enemies in each level. Let me do that after you design the levels.

Umm... I highly doubt that we will need any voice acting in this project. You are welcome to join and help out, though. In the future, we may do a project that needs voice acting, so if you have a good microphone and a Morgan Freeman voice, you could be of great assistance.

Ummm, can you also do the floor and background effects? I am not exactly sure how to do it.

What the...
OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE?! (okay, maybe a bit much sarcasm, but it's annoying). So I was going into presentation mode to try part of level 2 out, and guess what has to ruin it... dissipearing text! In case you didn't know what happens when you try to enter presentation with that, Scratch: 1. Freezes and sometimes eventually crashes OR 2. Becomes a big black square on your screen which is very hard to get off. Mine just so happened to freeze... Oh well...

I hate it when that happens!

Do you mean the gradient? You don't know how to do gradient in the scratch paint editor?!

I do, but I'd like a little help on how exactly you did it in level one so I can do it in all levels.

well, I just made all of the platforms solid black, with a solid white background. Then I did the gradient for the platforms and background (look at the other costumes for the exact colors and direction.) Then I used the rectangle tool to make the colored lines on all the surfaces.

Rectangle tool? Interesting, I thought the line tool would work. Anyway thanks, time to half start over

Well, the line tool does work just fine, but I use the rectangle tool because it's easier to make it level.

I just had an interesting idea. You know how most people put lava in their platformers? I think on some of the later levels we should kind of do the same thing, except with water. We could also make a power-up that makes you invincible to water for a short time.

Are the enemies vulnerable to water?

Well, yes. They're robots, after all! and since I didn't check out the animations, I thought the hyena could jump, so therefore it could go over the water. That was when I submitted my idea. We could add jumping to the hyena, or for all enemies, short-time invulnerability to water. Then again, we could also get rid of the water completely and not worry about it at all.

I've uploaded level 2. To jump to it use cheat code "level 2". Pretty simple.
