I don't reccomend that, especially if you plan to upload it. Reason is that people will simply join the scripts together, and upload it as their own. The Scratch Team even approves of this!

Split it with broadcasts. Then when you are done, save, then rejoin it, then upload it. Even if the script is partly invisible, it will still run.
I haven't experienced it myself, since I can't build scripts over about 200+ blocks because of my computer.

Its harder to seperate a long script than is it to join short scripts, especially on slower computers.
