Dream Theater is a progressive metal rock band, started in the mid 80's under the name "Majesty." Their lineup has evolved over the years, but they always keep 5 members in the band. Their guitarist, Joe Petrucci, has received much acclaim for his seemingly flawless yet blazing guitar work, and I consider him to be among the greatest guitar players ever.
