I love Algebra. I started Geometry and I was like, "I miss Algebra! ;n;"
Geometry is bossome with all the sines and funky junk like that.
Algebra is fun too.I'm doing precal right now and it's kind of fun, although not as much as geo.
@neil why do you have rollin' and scratchin' and deadmau5 in the same pic? rollin' and scratchin' is by Daft Punk.
Edit: ahh I see it links to dp's song.
Deadmau5 is my favourite artist, and Rollin' n Scratchin' is my favourite Daft Punk song. :3
Anyway, all these quadremiticxsnhfjsc numerals and stuff are confusing me - I've only just started high(England) / middle (USA) school!

Algebra is fun, but can be hard

Yeah it can be, but the main stuff, I like.

The concept isn't difficult, but some problems can be very complicated...
I'm going to sleep now

That's interesting, because I like Geometry better than Algebra.

this so much.
I'm in ninth grade doing Algebra-at-dunno-which-level-but-probably-basic. Chilean education ftl.

I am 10 and homeschooled. I study trig and algebra 2. It's really fun! My homeschooling isn't really strict, and my teacher is my mom. She's an awesome teacher!

Why is that 'unheard of'?
My wife and I homeschool our children.
My daughter is in Algebra right now and I'm teaching her.

That's awesome that a dad would take the time to homeschool his children.
Since my dad has a more than full time job, he wouldn't be able to do that.

Did anyone else do Algebra 1 in 8th grade?
I did. It was really really easy that I pretested out of every chapter. Currently I'm in pre-calc/trig.
Im 10 and I am going to start calc soon!

Whoa. I always thought I was fairly ahead, but you're like skipping through like crazy.

Wow, that's amazing since Algebra 3 doesn't exist. ;P

Well, it's like a transition between everything
It is titled "Geometry", but in my shcool everyone calls it A3.
It is forumlas and stuff starting, but they start stuff like trig and calculus.
(BTW, I did a unit of trig in 6th grade once. :3)

Algebra isn't always about finding numerical answers, though. As a simple example, the quadratic formula is an important non-numerical result.

Polynomials and monomials are like that too I think

I am in 6th grade and I take a class where we go from algebra (9th grade) to Trigonometry (12th grade). We train for TMSCA tests in that class too (google it if you don't know what they are).
Sadly I am only kinda good at the algebra and geometry parts. It's hard.

I do stuff like that too! But at my school. I'm in 6th grade.

I'm in algebra one in seventh grade, although i teach myself like everything outside of school.
. I don't think I've really learned anything this whole year. Algebra is pretty easy, for the most part, after you get down the basics.

I'm in seventh grade and am (unfortunately) in Pre-Algebra, but that's because most seventh graders in my school are in Pre-Algebra because most eighth graders are in Algebra 1, because they were in Pre-Algebra in seventh grade, and...well, you know, it's sort of a paradox.
But I study Algebra at home, and it's okay. I'm doing it so I can skip Algebra next year and move onto Geometry.

My school is like that too, but there are a few classes which are two levels ahead for math (honors is one grade ahead average).
