No, it is just a lot faster for some things and only a little faster for others. Example

Project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Canthiar/43911
Browsers: IE9, Firefox 16, Chrome 23.0.1271.95 m
Problem: empty lines show up in final rendering.
This doesn't happen neither in Scratch 1.4 nor in the Java Player.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the final result is EXTREMELY different when the project is run in the new Scratch 2.0 Editor (v194): red/yellow stripes are completely lost and the sphere looks all redish.

Ok - we just pushed v.195 after testing on the alpha site. Please let us know if this introduced any issues!
Okay; if I see anything, I'll say. And I must say, nice foresight when you tested the new version on the alpha site first.

Thanks! Wish I could say we didn't have to learn the hard way.
But the hard way is better than not learning at all! (I hope).
And by the way - the testing was mostly done by cheddargirl, Boltbait, Hardmath123, and Wes64. So many thanks to them!

In my http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MarioGuy134/2770430 there is a glitch where Austin just keeps walking beyond the environment into white nothing. Can the Scratch Team fix this?

This is an example of the link:

The background would not change (It did work before, and is still working locally)
I used Internet Explorer 8 and 9 and Firefox

Overall, the flash player is pretty neat. I did see a few bugs though. First off, sometimes when I scroll down, the project gets glitchy for a second. Also, some projects don't work on it. One great thing about it though, is that with slow projects, they are fast. I really like the flash player. Scratch on everyone! _meow_=
