Just post a few projects, comment a bit, and wait around a month and you'll be a scratcher!

The is nothing about specific time being on scratch to become a scratcher. So, please, now that you know, stop spreading it around. It's when the servers recognise you as active on the main site and forums.
@OP: The server is all knowing and now won't promote you for an extra 10 days.
I'm kidding, though that should be implemented.
