At the Scratch forums, there are many commercial spammers. However, most of them do not know that Scratch is a programming language, not a place to advertise your products. So my suggestion is that we put a notice at the top of the forums for New Scratchers, below the 'tool bar' that says: The Scratch Forums is for discussion of programming Scratch projects and other Scratch related stuff. Please do not advertise your company or business here. There are better places to advertise it.
So...what do you think?
This is a mockup of the above suggestion:
(The notice board can be interchanged with the forums toolbar (Home, Search, Profile)
Please Support!

support for human spammers but what about input only not searching programs

It's not an artist impression, but a mockup. An artist impression is totally different compared to a mockup.
That's just unnecessary. We have enough moderators to settle the spammers. Perhaps only having that bar with the text show only to New Scratchers? It'll be quite annoying to ordinary Scratchers who do not spam for commercial purposes.
[EDIT: Fixed spelling error.]
[EDIT 2: Outposted.]

Good point, but i wonder who will bother with that...

That font is Comic Sans MS. Which isn't the forum's font. So it's unsuitable. [/offtopic]
Nice mockup, but if it were real, that blank space would be an indescribable annoyance. I doubt that the ST has the ability to implement that in FluxBB 1.2. Anyway, that mockup would be obsolete with the new forums in 2.0.
Great mockup, but I still think this is unnecessary.

uh.... i dont really know how to explain that... I said above^^^ but the topic you are asking me is too broad... If you are asking for specifically this mockup, i take a screen shot first, paste it onto paint.NET, expand the canvas height, move some of the parts to the very bottom. Then, i copy what I need, like that little notice board, paste it in the white space, remove the words i dont want and add the words i want to add with the correct color (and usually, the correct font and size)
So, do you get what im saying or are you still very confused?

Let's not turn this into a discussion about your mockup.
I disagree. We don't get too many spammers, and i think that showing it like that wouldn't help. It's like announcing that we get spammers.

Well, it's a nice idea, but the problem is that the spammers, bot or human, don't really care. All they really care about is that fact that Scratch is a .EDU website that has a high search ranking - any message saying not to spam won't stop them.

They'd probably ignore it, though.
sometimes, they dont know that this is not the appropriate place to advertise, so this should help us to reduce spam by a certain amount ( An example is i saw a post that said he/she got scratched by a cat at the bus stop, and was asking whether he/she had to see the doctor or what [It is true. Quite a number of Scratches saw it.
