Typography

Typography. Fonts. Discuss.

I really like fonts, especially sans-serif and monospace fonts.

Akzidenz Grotesk
Futura
Open Sans
Ubuntu
Univers

ProFont (/amazingly/ clear and easy to read, my font of choice for code)
Anonymous
Inconsolata

Georgia is also quite good.

Have you ever made your own font?
What is your favourite font, typeface?

Re: Typography

Segoe UI
Arial
Verdana
Trebuchet

Are all sans serif fonts that I like

Times New Roman
Georgia

Are serif fonts that I like.

I like most monospace fonts.

I've never tried making my own font, mostly due to the fact that I am not yet proficient with vector graphics.

Re: Typography

I dunno, I guess I like Stencil, that's the only font name that comes to mind other than boring old Times New Roman. I don't really keep track of font names that I like  tongue

Re: Typography

My favorite fonts? Probably Comic Sans, Papyrus, and Arial. (jk)

I don't really have any favorite fonts really, but it's definitely annoying when I see certain ones that are overused.

Edit: I also like ScratchFont a lot!  tongue

Re: Typography

I like most Sans Serif fonts. I like fonts that are easy to read. Monospaced fonts such as "Courier New" are cool especially in lime green with a black background. I started making my own font once, but I never finished it. I still have it saved on Fontstruct though.

Oh.  tongue

That website...is...one of the worst misuses of Comic Sans I've seen.

All it needs now is a marquee or two.
And blinking text.

Re: Typography

List of fonts I like:
Team Fortress (logo font; comes with TF2 files)
Dark Crystal (download URL)
Agency FB

I use Agency FB for chrome. It's a good font, and easy to read, unlike Team Fortress.

Re: Typography

I tend to use Candara or Corbel, I've attempted to make my own but it was taking too much time.
I also use Chopin Script or EXOTICA if I want something fancy and hard to read.

There's nothing wrong with Arial. Overuse is not the sole factor in making Comic Sans and Papyrus awful.
