I want this block:
turn turbo mode [on/off]
there are so many turbo mode projects, and it would be better if you didn't have to shift click the green flage every time...Don't worry, in Scratch 2.0 you can actually create a script which specifically runs in turbo speed!
that's not true.
You can build your own blocks, so HardMath is right.

No, there is a c-block called "all at once" (it might change before the release)which runs a script in turbo mode. You can't make c-blocks in scratch 2.0, though, and even if you could, you can't make "all at once" because it doesn't have a workaround.

AT THE MOMENT OF THIS POST, there is no "all at once" or "warp speed" block.

Must of been deleted since I last checked

Another thing about the username block; someone could embarrass another user by making a "chatroom" project using cloud variables, but put this script:

2.0 does however allow people to see the scripts of a project, and if a project was offensive to someone, assuming the person saw it, they would just report it

Personally I don't see much use to the above blocks. There is however, which has been talked about much in other forums, the hide/show list blocks. Even though there is a workaround it would still be much more convenient and easy to implement. I had some ideas for some blocks in mind, though they seemed to have escaped me... once I remember I will be sure to put them here.

Any version of scratch would allow people to see the scripts of project. 2.0 puts it online.
However, Lightnin said some people, especially newer ones may feel unsafe about being able to be tracked on what they view.
He also said that if we asked for permission to get their username, they may also feel unsafe.

Of course you know because you still go to the editor after being told not to.
But anyways, it's supposed to be there, but maybe its not ready or fully functional yet.
But it WILL be in the final version.

Some new effects:
-Negative
Plus bring some of the obsolete effects back
(plus i am pretty sure flash has the potential in making a sprite get negative colors)
Some New "More" blocksAllow sprites off screen Don't allow sprites off screenand some other blocks.....<Fps>a boolean to show frames per second.
Thats all....For now.
Booleans only tell true or false, so I think you mean "reporter".
And since the Scratch Team cannot change their usernames, the first block is definitely not being put in, because it could be used to bully people secretly.
And the negative effect can already be achieved with the paint editor.
You will MAKE new "more" blocks, because that section is only for user-made blocks.
I like the allowing sprites on and off screen, but I don't see it's functionality as a block. I think it's better suited as an option you can set for the project when people view it.
And some people have found ways to calculate the fps on Scratch with 1.4, although, it is very complicated.

Ok seriously, If someone made a script to make individuals be Insulted and such, they could obviously report and the mods would look into the project people! So Yeah that is solved, Don't make a reference about "They would use scripts to be mean to individuals" Because obviously there is a flag button on the project!

But the only way that block can be used is to single out a specific user.

Sorry. But why did they remove it?

Don't you think it's a bit overzealous to cast off an idea with many, I mean MANY uses (dev controls for creator? Extra lives for your friends? Type in your username and compare it to your actual username?) in the name of safety from bullying? If anyone downloads the project, the game is up. Reported. I don't think that potential blocks should be scrutinized for any sort of way to 'bully' a user, as all projects are free to download, and therefore no 'secret bullying' can happen.
Just my two cents.

Nothing is completely safe.
Let's remove the color red, because ya'know, it could be used for gory imagery, and it's better for us to be safe than sorry. And let's remove music and sounds, because they could say something nasty. </sarcasm>
The point I'm trying to make here is that nothing is completely safe and can be used for malicious purposes. But the proportion of people who use block(s) for good instead of evil warrants the block's existence. In my mind, it's not right to limit the creativity of others because one or two people might possible use it for malicious purposes.

exactly. let me make a simile
restricting something because it could be used for malicious purposes is like banning pencils from schools because they can be sharpened to a point and used to impale someone.
that being said, I still see no use for that block
and I suppose as long as im critiquing, the only blocks anyone has listed that I agree with are the stretch/skew ones even though i see no inherent purpose or value to having them. if you badly want something skewed, just use mspaint. i guess there are some advanced functions that could be had by using them though

Anything is a weapon.
Anything can be used for any purpose.
Figure out a way.
Just my 2 cents.
