Giving tax breaks to the extremely rich will do nothing except decrease revenue. They already don't spend a lot of their money, so I think that it should be put to use. Obama's tax plan also doesn't call for any tax increases on those that don't make rather large amounts of money.

It's been heated the whole time, though. It hasn't really gotten any worse recently. 
It's possible the mods are indecisive or just misclicked.

Yep, at first I was afraid they were closing it for real and was expecting to see a close notice, but I guess it was probably a mis-click. If the were undecisive they probably would have posted a warning of some sorts first.

Because people are stupid and unwilling to do it.  Or because I don't know if it's ever been suggested in a good way.  And because I'm not QUITE sure how it would turn out.
