You DO realize that you can still find someone even with JUST their photo...
I've heard about people from 4chan finding the IP address and/or location from just a photo, via the news.

That's 4chan, it has a varied community of 20-40 year olds who do different things, doesn't surprise me that one of them knows how to find someone's location with an IP address.
And the only way they found the woman who put the cat in the bin is because someone who uses 4chan knows the woman and there was a thread in /b/ asking for info on it.

uh it's not really hard to find someone's location from their ip, you can just use some wobsites

If it's taken via phone yes because that includes GPS location
But all Scratch approved sites will remove GPS location, date, time and all the other stuff that digital photos include
cause a bird and a fish could fall in love/but where would they live?
