Reading stickies is a forum etiquette that most Scratchers follow on the first time they enter a forum section. Whilst not everyone does so, I don't think personally that a topic entitled "pleased read the stickies before posting" will help much with those few who are already ignoring the stickies list. I can move this over to suggestions for you though - perhaps the community will feel differently?

Perhaps an idea for the Scratch 2.0 forums would be to have a message bar appear at the top of a section the first time a user visits it?

Though i think Suggestions needs a Sticky Cull big_smile we have like three topics saying "already made suggestions" they need to be made into one topic...

I think my plan was to have a notification box pop up when clicking submit, and have it say "are you sure your suggestion has not been suggested before? Please check on [this] thread before posting to save everyone's time."
