You can get star-shaped throwing stars anywhere, completely circular ones are a unique throwing experience.

I have a ton of CDs (like over 200), and no.
The main reason for this is I actually don't have a CD player in my room; my siblings have taken them for one reason or another (usually listening to audiobooks ) and they're like "well you have your computer".-
And I do. I rip CDs, generally in MP3 320kbps but occasionally FLAC for special things. While I can hear some difference between these MP3s and the lossless files (especially on the extremely bright oM stuff... ugh), I think it's good enough for me. It also allows me to scrobble to last.fm. A lot of the CDs are sucky quality anyway because either they were poorly mastered (Boys Don't Cry) or just recorded poorly by drunk musicians (Alien Lanes) [I love both those albums anyway]
but uh yeah
I agree. If you have good audio hardware, there are some cases where there will be a noticeable difference between lossless and MP3 320, but in my opinion, the difference is small enough that for most cases an MP3 is fine.

i think they should do it for free
I think something like $1 would be a good fee, since they have to ship it, as well as burn the actual disc

Burn??
What?? I expect, like, real CDs!

Yea I know, but they have to actually 'make' or 'buy' the CD itself to send them to you, as opposed to just having a server to download unlimited copies from

Only if they are continually able to make a profit

But people could take advantage of it.

perhaps
oh well
it wouldn't happen anyways

They have to make some profit, and that's correct, it won't be happening, it's silly.

it is not silly!
:@
and they'd totally be making profit
see like from the way i was thinking they'd offer 1 cd free of charge or maybe for an additional fee of $2 (for available albums) per album bought
they make like four bucks (or 6 if it's for $2) off each album purchase and cds really don't cost that much to manufacture plus shipping is pretty cheap if it's not like overnight or whatever
plus they make so much money from other products and the people who just buy songs and not albums, and the people who wouldn't want cds, that they could totally do that and still make a lot of money
yep

Buy a pack of blank discs and burn the iTunes music files onto them? I hope you wouldn't spend that money on just the disc art.

i'd definitely spend $2 on the booklet, the disc art, and having audio files at better than 256kbps vbr aac. i've definitely spend more than that with albums i already have in less than cd quality from thrift stores.

Yeah but $2 is a dream, it'll never be a reality; if Apple did have something like this it'd be a lot more pricey.

mm yes
because they're apple
i'd totally like buy cds from them online though if they had a store that was like the itunes store and albums cost like 10 bucks
Offline
You mean actual physical albums less than $10?
I don't think that's likely
Offline
not less than 10 bucks
10 bucks
i know a lot of record labels that sell cds (and tapes!) for 10 bucks, i dont see why apple couldnt
Offline
Considering their Abbey Road album is over $20 in digital format, that seems unlikely.
Offline
abbey road is $12.99 because it's popular/the beatles
so they should offer them at the same price as digital :J
Offline
They're 20.99 in Australia, they're 12.99 in USA? Seems unfair, considering Australian dollar is more valuable than the US dollar right now
The reason they can sell them cheap digitally is because they don't have to pay shipping, printing or burning costs.
Offline
everyone rips off australians and canadians
it's a known fact
also it would cost them like 4 bucks to make one of those cds and like a dollar and a half to ship it.
Offline
True, but physical CD sellers would seriously go out of business.
@australia+canadia+comment: you made me laugh for real
