I've just noticed that my tiny ancient little laptop has got open office on it, and as everyone knows, this is basically like microsoft office, just open source, exept, open office contains 'Math'.
Here's what i want to know:
What is math? (E.g. Spreadsheet builder, video editor)
what's it for?
Can it be used for programming? And if so where can i find beginners tutorials for it (unless that language it supports is python.) ?
Thank you for your time, please help!

OpenOffice Math is an editor for mathematical notation. You can make formulae with it and embed them into your OpenOffice Writer/Calc/etc. document. As far as I know, it can't be used for programming...

I guess it's like LaTeX with a GUI...

Thanks! I was wondering what it was, i looked at the help and it had stuff about java and basic, which is why i thought you could program with it. The UI even looks like you should be able to program with it, which is why i wondered.

I know. I have ashampoo softmaker (latest version 'naturally'.) we have loads of stuff by ashampoo. I reccommend it, however, they do like to advertise themselves.
