I'd feel a bit uncomfortable if people could see when I was on the Scratch website, and I wouldn't want to have to log out to avoid that

Totally agree with above post, people seeing if you're online isn't really my problem with it, it's just that it's kind of unneeded... 
Just comment or whatever and they'll get back to you regardless of whether you saw they were online or not.
