I know, right? IMO, Peanuts is the most overrated comic strip of all time. It's decent, but come on, it's not that classic. Calvin and Hobbes seriously deserves to be rerun, not Peanuts.

Peanuts is EXTREMELY classic whether or not you like it
It's over 60 years old and still popular and the characters remain fairly culturally significant

You can't say that's not classic

Re: Calvin and Hobbes?

Calven and Hobbes is a part of my childhood too! Where would we be today without calvin and Hobbes! This is undeniably the best comic strip of them all!

"'Trick or treat!'(Calvin)
'Where's your costume? What are you supposed to be?'(Guy at door)
'I'm yet another recource-consuming kid in an overpopulated planet, raised to an alarming extent by Madison Avenue and Hollywood, poised with my cynical and alienated peers to take over the world when you're old and weak!'(Calvin)
'Am I scary or what?'(Calvin walking away wile eating candy)"

It IS extremely classic, but it passed its prime about 35 years in.
I love those ones, but the newest ones are like Garfield; they kinda ran out of ideas.

Hey, I don't think we came here to argue which comic strip was classic.

Anyways, guys, I never said Peanuts wasn't classic. I just said that it wasn't THAT classic. It's a very good strip, but I just feel that Calvin and Hobbes deserves some reruns too.

If you read The Guardian in Britain, I believe that they do re-runs of Calvin and Hobbes, and Garfield.

Racist grandmother? The British are a nice bunch of chaps, not the stereotypical punks and evil businessmen that you Americans have been forcefed.

Yeah, I know. I think British people are awesome though.  big_smile
