MIDI import?

I was looking at the advanced topics and found an old thread for making a MIDI file importing program on Scratch. One of the Scratchers had this post:

Done. Here it is.
http://squeakland.jp/abee/tmp/midi2script.zip
Use midi2script.image instead of Scratch,image.
Then choose "import midi file" menu in the script area, See midi2script.png.

I don't understand how to use this on Scratch, can somebody help me get this to work?

Re: MIDI import?

I remember that. Go to that link. Then, it will download a zip file. Extract that.

You'll come up with a folder. One of the files is midi2script.image. Double-click this (I think). Then, Scratch will open. On the script sections where you would drag blocks, right-click. Select import midi-file, and then just find the midi file.

thanks, I think the problem was that I didn't know how to extract a zip file. It's working now!

Re: MIDI import?

hmm, the rhythms are very weird, it ruins the whole song. That's too bad.
