The Official Minescratch Thread (I mean, Seil's Official Minescratch Thread)
Welcome to the official forum thread for Minescratch! Here you will find the latest updates of Minescratch, and also here you can follow the development of Minescratch. This is a WIP (work-in-progress) and always will be.
I am Seil, the developer/tester/creator/programmer of Minescratch. You will soon be able to be a programmer/tester of Minescratch. (You can also comment on any of my projects) I AM NOT HIRING YET. Please note that when I am, I want to be impressed, or I may not "employ" you.
Staff:
Seil: creator, developer, tester, programmer
Well, yoshidude56, I have just made a world generator, so no, not yet, but if I need any help I will happily accept yours.
---
What is Minescratch? It is a remake of the game "Minecraft", and it's programmed using Scratch.
You can learn more about Minecraft on the Minecraft website, or the Minecraft Wiki.
---
LATEST VERSION:
Minescratch Pre 0.0.1a1 (November 19, 2012). Random level generator! It generates a level randomly. (You don't say?)
I also have a Minescratch gallery!
---
That's it for now, Scratch on!

Any chance of Spoiler Images?
I hope this doesn't count as a bump
Spoiler images, not yet.
I haven't been working on this as much since school started... it may be awhile.

Of course, I looked at your latest project, and I have to tell you, I really like it! It's better than I expected.
I took a look at your scripts and I see how they work. It starts with bedrock at the bottom and moves upwards, choosing a random number of blocks of that type then switching to the next block type and repeating the process. I can see that each block type has a certain range of blocks that generate.
Here's the thing though: I'm planning to have it store the already generated blocks in a list, and each list will be a different chunk, like in Minecraft. Also, it would be cool if certain ores form below a certain layer (for example, redstone ore forms under layer 16, if I'm not mistaken). Oh yeah, and there should be layers, which I assume would be not that hard, if the blocks are tiled but also stored.
Overall the concept of your project is really cool. But for now, I think I might work on terrain generation myself, but who knows? I may become more interested in your help sometime soon.
Thanks for offering.

If you want! Actually, when I upload test projects it's for everyone to test. I don't know yet, I haven't really thought much about having people help with Minescratch, even though I have it written on my original post.
How about I get actual functioning Minescratch projects up and maybe you can work with me. Thanks
EDIT: I'm pretty new to collaborating with projects, so bear with me I guess.

Please excuse the double post, even though I'm the only one that seems to care this much about consecutive posting.
Somehow I only recently discovered (I mean really noticed) the "Things I'm Making and Creating" forum, but anyways, I'd appreciate if someone could move this thread(? Would it be called that? Or topic?) to that forum. I think it would fit there better. Thank you

I'm so sorry!
I just wanted people to know about my new Minescratch update: Pre 0.0.1a
And it's also to keep the moderators from NEGLECTING MY POSTS! LOL.

HELLO? Jeez people.
I want this to be MOVED to Things I'm Making and Creating. It's been over two weeks since my last post about the same thing! lol
I'm actually wondering though, how hard is it to move a forum topic to another forum?
