Click inside the player before pressing keys for them to work.
this is considered a security feature of Flash

There's a glitch in the new flash palyer, the one that looks like Scratch 2.0, where any variable will go into the top left corner and switch to the default view. It happens in my game. The variable is supposed to be in the large view in the middle of the screen but it goes into the top left corner and switches the view.

Ah, that's actually a glitch in Scratch 1.4! Should happen in the java player as well, right?
The workaround is to make sure the watcher is showing when you share the project (you can hide it behind a sprite if you want to, so it doesn't show in the thumbnail). It's fine if your project hides it as soon as the green flag is clicked, it only needs to be visible when you share. As long as it is, it should remember its position when you next show it.

It works perfectly downloaded and in JAVA, why not flash?
I think Paddle2See is working on nailing down a glitch that might be related to what you are seeing - where variables aren't getting updated properly in loops. He made demo project for JohnM, who is working on it I believe. But it's a tricky bug, this one - might take a little time. Anyway, thanks for reporting!

Why does this version have so many new bugs? Did you test it?
In 2012, scientists at the LHC discovered the Higgs boson, which explains the source of the masses of the W+, W-, and Z bosons, as well as fermions.Offline

Do you have a link to a project where that happens?

The link in your sig is just taking me to your My Stuff area - not a specific project. Perhaps you changed your sig recently? In addition to a link the specific game, it would be helpful if you could tell us what part of the project doesn't seem to be working. Does it fail to load? Is it stopping unexpectedly somewhere? Does a sprite do something weird? Thanks for any details you can provide.

Yup, that fixed it! Thanks!

Not sure if this is just my computer's processor, but when I have two tabs open (Google Chrome) to different Scratch programs, with one project on turbo mode, the other project's audio messes up.

Yes, but not as extensively as we should've, or so it turns out!
I think the bugs were created because we stopped pushing new versions of the flash player, made for 2.0, to the current (old) website. So while we didn't see many new glitches on the new site, we accidentally introduced a few bad ones that only show up on certain projects. Testing against 100 or so is a lot less likely to bring up errors compared to testing against 2.7 million.
However, it seems like the last few fixes have solved a great deal of the problems, although there are still some to work out.

Windows XP, Firefox 13.0, Flash 11.4.402.278
this project stage shakes wildly when I move. obviously the stage has no motion capability, so this is definitely a glitch with the new player (this never happened in old or when downloaded)

I think that sometimes the scrips don't run in turbo.

Ah! This is one of those 'won't fix' ones - why? Because it was more or less mistake that led to the behavior in Scratch 1.4. Pretty much all the graphic effects affect the stamped image, so making ghost not do that is sort of confusing, right?
We know this will affect some old projects, but they should be pretty easy to fix. Just add a set ghost effect [0] before you stamp, and then set it back to whatever you had it as before after the stamp. For example, if you were at ghost effect 50, do this.set [ghost] effect to [0] stamp set [ghost] effect to [50]
It took me so long to find this. -_-

this isn't a glitch, but its something I find distracting. on projects with grayish backgrounds (link) the top bar melds in with the project itself.

I am using Chrome
Before the update to the flash player was released, this project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/randomgamemaker/2758986 worked perfectly (it renders a 3d terrain made up of cubes, but only works with flash turbo).
Now, the graphics are more distorted and there are problems with dirt constantly having no grass growing on it. Also, stripes of random blocks will appear on screen. This appears almost every time, but before the revision, it never happened. It doen't have anything to do with the renderer running out of room. Is it the sprite switching to the wrong costume, or maybe a problem with the variables or lists.
Why is this happening?

If you put in wait blocks, those DO affect turbo mode.
