Hmm, having the same problem. I'll see what I can do to fix it.

Can't you take a joke
I am serious about constantly force-killing UJ, but I was pretty much joking about being offended.
UJ can be funny, but it's just plain annoying when we're trying to have a conversation.

Okay guys. No more fighting over UJ and other stuff related to that. If you have a problem, please take it to comments on your own projects or PMs on Chat.PY or somewhere else other than on Chat.PY discussion places.

Attention moderators and administrators! I have begun working on some rules and regulations about bots on Chat.PY. What do you think of them?
• The bot must follow all the regular rules of Chat.py.
• The bot must not respond with answers that are not always relevant.
• The bot must have some notice it is a bot.
• The bot must not respond to messages that end in "|". (That is not an i. Make sure you copy/paste it.)
• The bot must end all of it's messages in "|". (That is not an i. Make sure you copy/paste it.)
• The bot must disconnect immediately or have a person operating it to disconnect it immediately at a global moderator or global administrator's request.
• The bot must not post twice in a row.
• The bot must not post when it is not responding to another post.
• The bot must not talk favorably of any product or user.
• The bot must say who is operating it. Therefore, the bot must not claim to be a person.
• The bot must not have any anti-kick, anti-mute, or anti-ban software in it. This means no proxies.
• The bot must not veer off the conversation to other topics.
• If the bot is specially programmed to play a certain game, guide a certain game, or discuss a certain topic, the bot must only be online in the channel relevant to that game or topic.
• The bot must not ask personal questions, such as name, age, gender, or location. If a person does this, it will sometimes slide, but bots are strictly not allowed to do it.
• The bot must not harass anyone.
• The bot must not link to external sites.
• The bot must only go on Chat.py. It must not go on any other LSTC plugins. Bots are not allowed on those plugins.
• There must only be one bot in each channel at a time.
• If the bot does not follow all these rules, the operator will first be warned, then the bot will be force-kill'd until it follows the rules. If it persists afterward without being in compliance with these rules, the operator and the bot will be IP banned.
Note: These are not the official rules yet. I am asking for feedback from other mods about them.

Simple enough.
• The bot must not respond with answers that are not always relevant.
See note 1.
• The bot must have some notice it is a bot.
Kind of hard to do, seeing as most users have a bot/usable client for bots. Though it would be useful.
• The bot must not respond to messages that end in "|". (That is not an i. Make sure you copy/paste it.)
See note 2.

I guess that would work, but see notes 1 and 2.
• The bot must not post when it is not responding to another post.
I wanted to make a conversation restarter part of my bot.
• The bot must not talk favorably of any product or user.
See note 1.
• The bot must say who is operating it. Therefore, the bot must not claim to be a person.
What if the person was obvious(ish), like MolyBot/Molybdenum?
• The bot must not have any anti-kick, anti-mute, or anti-ban software in it. This means no proxies.
I wouldn't even know how to make that, except for something that rejoins if its banned.
• The bot must not veer off the conversation to other topics.
See note 1.
• If the bot is specially programmed to play a certain game, guide a certain game, or discuss a certain topic, the bot must only be online in the channel relevant to that game or topic.
Well... Nothing to say, but it would be good.
• The bot must not ask personal questions, such as name, age, gender, or location. If a person does this, it will sometimes slide, but bots are strictly not allowed to do it.
See note 1.

See note 1.

Yes. Get rid of the BitArt bombers.
• There must only be one bot in each channel at a time.
Not sure I like this one. In most IRCs, many bots can be on, each with a specific function.
• If the bot does not follow all these rules, the operator will first be warned, then the bot will be force-kill'd until it follows the rules. If it persists afterward without being in compliance with these rules, the operator and the bot will be IP banned.
A bit harsh, but rules are rules, after all.Note: These are not the official rules yet. I am asking for feedback from other mods about them.
Note 1: What about bots that can be taught things, like the TC part of MolyBot?
Note 2: But bot chain reactions are fun!? Remember ours?
My comments are indented.

• The bot must follow all the regular rules of Chat.py.

• The bot must have some notice it is a bot. Definitely! I think that the bot should have a "Bot" in it's name in order to show that it's a bot.
• The bot must not respond to messages that end in "|". (That is not an i. Make sure you copy/paste it.)
• The bot must end all of it's messages in "|". (That is not an i. Make sure you copy/paste it.) That's an interesting idea. I personally don't think it's necessary.
• The bot must disconnect immediately or have a person operating it to disconnect it immediately at a global moderator or global administrator's request. This isn't necessary, that's what force-kill's for!
• The bot must not post twice in a row.

Too complicated. Not everybody could make it do that.
Offline
@Ohaider: Hmm, I still think it's necessary. Otherwise, someone could get around the rules by having bots that reply to each other.
@Molybdenum: Bots that reply to each other can be fun, but they can also interrupt the conversation. For teachable bots, the operator has to make a good faith effort to keep the content following the rules, and must remove content upon request from a global moderator. I don't know what to say about the conversation starter, those can be both useful and not.
@Playzooki: At least I edited them. One of the rule ideas at first was "The bot must not ask questions." Also, many of the rules are extremely necessary, so if you can't add them, then the bot shouldn't go online anyway.
Note again: Magnie gets the final word on this. I'm just speculating.
Offline
Zippynk: I like it.
playzooki: Actually, it's quite simple to follow the rules. Have it only respond to messages starting with a specific symbol. Molybdenum's bot looks for a period at the beginning. Other common symbols are @, !, and |.
Offline
As a suggestion: you could have a room just for bots, where they talk to each other.

Because you're bot is too simple?

Makes sense. I also could add a thing that lets mods see the teaches, and edit them.

Actually, my bot is more complicated than that. It seperates the messages into words, then checks every word. If the first word is .add, for example, it chats the sum of the second and third words.
