Everybody always begs for a Scratch app for the Wii, DS, XBox, Playstation, iPad, iPhone, etc. The reason why this doesn't happen is because of difficulties of developing for major platforms. This was a huge problem a little while back with no solution.
In April of 2013, a new open-to-developers console called the OUYA will be sold. (http://www.ouya.tv/) It runs on Android, and it allows Indie developers to easily publish games without having to go by the weird regulations of the App Store or the difficult procedures of publishing a game on Nintendo's consoles.
This is not only an opportunity for Indie gamers, but also an opportunity for Scratchers. Imagine playing your very own Scratch game on your TV, as well as having the opportunity to play other's games. A Scratch player is what I have in mind, but a Scratch programming interface would also be fantastic.
What do you think of this? Could Scratch possibly develop a player on an open platform like this? Should a third party or indie dev do this? Is this the worst idea ever? Please give opinions and thoughts.

I think that'd be really cool, and I'm fairly certain something like sb2.js (a Javascript player for Scratch 2.0 files) could be ported to code the Ouya could run. I'd probably attempt that sometime after the Ouya comes out if no-one else does.
